Croome National Trust

Thanks to the generosity of the Bransford Trust, we have been able to employ a full time trainee in the Garden and Park department at Croome.

The National Trust interviewed several potential candidates and offered the position to Lloyd Askew, a young man from Pershore, who has volunteered in the community for the past few years and is keen to work in the outdoors. Lloyd worked with the Trust from June 2015 both in the garden team and with the rangers carrying out a variety of tasks such as hedge cutting, weeding, chipping, undertaking his chainsaw and trailer tests in the process. Lloyd also worked with Croome's volunteer groups and became a very useful member of the team. The year at Croome prepared Lloyd for a role in the outdoors, and he is very grateful to the Bransford Trust for this opportunity.
